Meet the Maker Behind the Jars
What started as a teenage love for cooking and a passion for food science and history at The Ohio State University eventually simmered into something sweet. Sunshine & Sugar Jams began with an unexpected surplus of peaches and a spur-of-the-moment decision to try making jam — and it stuck.
Over the years, I dabbled in small batches here and there, but in 2023, I took the leap. I was looking for a creative side hustle and considered baking... but let’s face it, everyone became a bread expert during the pandemic! When I saw a local farmers market needed a jam vendor, I jumped in — and what began as a half-baked idea became a full-fledged business in just a few weeks.
Now, every jar is crafted with care, using real fruit, old-school techniques, and a whole lot of love.
